Autumn craft

We have been learning about the Seasons and this week our focus has been on Autumn. The children chose autumnal colours and created trees with card or wool to represent the leaves.

We have been learning the numbers from 11 to 20. Although most of the children can recognise the numbers when counting in order, they can find identifying the numbers individually tricky. Encouraging your child to tell you what numbers they see around about them at home, walking to school etc all helps, as does any opportunity to count. Thank you.

Getting crafty!

The children have been enjoying lots of different activities linked to their learning. This week we have been focusing on the phonics sounds (s,a,t,p,i,n,m,g), the numbers (1-5) and the days of the week. We have been reading the Hungry Caterpillar and the Gruffalo and have begun to find out about the monsters who live in Monster Phonic Land.
