Getting crafty!

The children have been enjoying lots of different activities linked to their learning. This week we have been focusing on the phonics sounds (s,a,t,p,i,n,m,g), the numbers (1-5) and the days of the week. We have been reading the Hungry Caterpillar and the Gruffalo and have begun to find out about the monsters who live in Monster Phonic Land.

Easter fun!

Great excitement today as the Easter bunny had visited our classroom! We had great fun searching for eggs then making our own Easter cakes. In the afternoon we had fun in the grassy pitch before watching a movie with an ice lolly. Some of the children said it was the best day ever!

Another busy week!

Earlier in the week we joined with the other Primary 1 class to go outside and take part in activities to help us learn our numbers from 0 to 10. We have also been revising our phonic sounds from previous weeks and our new sounds c, k and ck. Today we looked at words beginning with c and k and made crowns and kites.
