We have started to learn how to spell the names for the numbers from zero to ten. We found it was quite difficult as we can't sound out many of the words but we will keep practising.

Getting crafty!

The children have been enjoying lots of different activities linked to their learning. This week we have been focusing on the phonics sounds (s,a,t,p,i,n,m,g), the numbers (1-5) and the days of the week. We have been reading the Hungry Caterpillar and the Gruffalo and have begun to find out about the monsters who live in Monster Phonic Land.

Xmas party day

Although we couldn't do our traditional parties this year we still had a great time. We enjoyed playing party games, doing outdoor dancing with a dance company and with the rest of the school and eating our party food. After a great afternoon we had a special surprise visit from Santa!

Another busy week!

Earlier in the week we joined with the other Primary 1 class to go outside and take part in activities to help us learn our numbers from 0 to 10. We have also been revising our phonic sounds from previous weeks and our new sounds c, k and ck. Today we looked at words beginning with c and k and made crowns and kites.
